Choosing the Best Treatment

Right choice at the right time is of utmost importance.

Just like in cooking, where the choice of different spices added at different stages of cooking can immensely influence the final dish prepared. In the same way, selecting the best treatment option at every stage of recovery can have a great impact on your final recovery outcome.

From my continually growing repertoire of therapeutic approaches, I strive to find the best recipe solution for your own diagnosis.

Therapy treatments include Kinesio and Leuko taping
Therapeutic excercises for upper body, arm and hand strengthening

The comprehensive treatment approach which is customized to each patient’s needs and goals may include, but are not limited to, a combination of the following treatments:

  • Custom splint fabrication of static, dynamic and static-progressive splints. Fitting check and training for the correct way to wear the prefabricated splints that you get from local drug stores.

  • Serial casting

  • Taping techniques : Kinesio and Leuko taping.

  • Neuromuscular re-education, mirror therapy, sensory retraining and desensitization techniques.

  • Manual therapy including soft tissue and joint mobilization.

  • Therapeutic exercises, upper body strengthening, re-balancing and conditioning exercises.

  • Scar management.

  • Edema management.

  • Post-surgical wound care.

  • Education in joint protection and activity modification, correction of joint imbalances, and prevention of joint deformities.

  • Pain management

  • Education in posture and ergonomics, recommendations for modifying the workstation, work tools and work habits

  • Work site evaluation.

  • Recommendations for assistive or adaptive devices. I’ll problem solve with you the daily tasks that are difficult or painful to do because of your condition; and recommend modified ways/equipment to improve your functional independence.
